Mikey Rourke, aka his holiness
Mickey Rourke is apparently going to be the lead in the Tarantino directed half of Grindhouse. He will play a psycho who kills people with cars. I hate horror movies, but I am loyal to Mick so I'll see it.
He has Killshot and Stormbreaker coming out this year. 2007 might be a huge year for him. He has Sin City 2, the Tarantino film, a film with Ray Liotta in the works called The Night Job, and some indie film called Cousin Joey (which may or may not get made). I am a huge fan of his, so I am hoping that he isn't stuck doing Genre films for the rest of his career. I want to see him tackle roles similar in complexity to James Coburn in Affliction.
Well any Rourke is good for me.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, aka the future of acting
He has Killshot, Shadowboxer (which I will see at the Philly film festival), and Brick coming out this year. He is currently shooting a film with Jeff "underrated" Daniels and Carla "future bearer of my children" Gugino.
Movie Thoughts
I freaking loved V for Vendetta. Its the liberal Red Dawn! (although it isn't a piece of garbage like that Patrick Swayze nazi propaganda picture.)
Saw Inside man. Well done, but it really didn't grab me as an audience member.
I saw Game Six which has been pimped for weeks on Ebert and Roeper. Pretension is a apt verb to describe it.
